Confidentiality
Agreements
These documents deal with confidentiality and non-disclosure
between two parties. For example, this may be between a coach
and a client or between a coach and a supervisor or another
professional.
It is vital in coaching that the client feels that they can
reveal any information, with the confidence that it will not
be disclosed to any other person. The exception to this is information
passed in confidence to another professional or supervisor coach
under a Confidentiality or Non-Disclosure Agreement.
This agreement is one-way, in that only one of the parties is
bound by confidentiality. In coaching, it is unlikely that the
coach is going to reveal any confidentialities to the client.
(You can also get reciprocal agreements, where both parties
are bound by confidentiality.)
The agreement also contains terms relating to non-disclosure
of the information, relating to publicity, etc.
